District Governor Visits Louisa Rotary
Last August , the Louisa County Rotary Club was visited by Horace McCormack, the District Governor for District 7610, which includes Louisa County. Mr. McCormack met first with the club’s officers to receive reports about the club’s past programs and about its goals for the future. During that meeting, he offered helpful suggestions about improving the club and attracting new members. Later, at the general club’s dinner meeting, he spoke about the goals of Rotary International and the Louisa club’s role in achieving those goals.

Planned 2012 activities for the Club include the annual Barter Theater Performances at the Louisa Arts Center Theater and the Louisa Middle School. Tickets are still available at $20 each at the Arts Center !
The Barter Theater Performance of Jack London's "Call of the Wild" will begin at 6pm on Feb 24th with a Virginia Wine tasting, courtesy of the Virginia Wine of the Month Club. Don't miss these excellent red and white wines !
The Rotary of Louisa County uses any funds raised at the performance
- to support the literacy campaign in Louisa county,
- to buy dictionaries to give to each entering third grade student,
- to support the two scholarships given to seniors each year, and
- to again bring the Barter Theater to Louisa Schools, and for adults, each winter.
